Katie's mom was in Puerto Plata on business, then went back to Canada,
and explained to Katie that the children in the DR were less fortunate
than her.
Katie decided to make a difference. She sold icecream and freezies one
day at her school during recess and surprisingly raised $100.00.
Katie then decided to buy a basketball, volleyball, and soccerball, along
with other school supplies for the kids in the Dominican Republic with
her
donation money.
These are the happy kids that received Katie's gifts.
