Mama Juana

Mama Juana (not marijuana!) is a mixture of roots, wood chips, and rum that the Dominican's drink to cure everything from the common cold to a bad hangover! It's a party drink, but used often for medicinal purposes. Mixed with a secret concoction of roots and wood chips from the trees of the countryside; it also contains red (or pineapple) wine, honey, cinnamon, sugar and dark rum. When the bottle is finished you need only to fill it up again with dark rum, and the bottle will ferment over and over, allowing you to re use the bottle repeatedly for years and years to come.
